MUSIC

At the forefront of the New Music scene stands the intoxicating New York-based ensemble, SO Percussion.  In their few short years together, the youthful quartet has managed to collaborate with some of the most distinguished and exciting voices in American "classical" music, from Bang On a Can all-stars David Lang and Evan Ziporyn, to contemporary elders, Steve Reich and Paul Lansky.  This winter, the Hotel St. George is proud to present an all-percussion showcase: glockenspiels, toy pianos, vibraphones, bowed marimbas, tuned and prepared pipes, metals, and all species of strikable objects, courtesy of SO members Josh Quillen, Adam Sliwinski, Jason Treuting and Lawson White.  Girls, rock your boys.

SONIC EVENTS

40 Years of Polish Experimental Radio from Studio Warsaw

[Jak sie masz?]

All that's mentioned on UBU Web about this material is the following:

"NOTES: No cover or any additional info except the note of the person who sent me this – 'It's not an official material but several tunes for 40 years of Experimental Studio of Polish Radio in Warsaw' - thank you Tomasz Twardawa

Discogs.com has this to say about the note’s mysterious author:

Tomasz Twardawa is a living legend of the underground industrial scene in Poland. Since the mid eighties, he has taken part in pioneer projects as TKT, Godzilla and a few more, introducing noise and power industrial aesthetics into the numb, self-proclaimed 'avantgarde' crowd, stimulating its development with his uncompromised, radical approach. His main brain-child, Genetic Transmission, with numerous great releases under belt, proves that his flame still burns.

And this is what Hotel St. George has to say about the following clips:

Listen.

1. Aela

2. Bocetti
