Aaron Petrovich - Managing Editor
is a writer of fiction and theatre living in Brooklyn. He is a regular contributor to Andre Codrescu's Exquisite Corpse and an associate editor at Akashic Books. His theatrical works have appeared in The Midtown International Theatre Festival, The Manhattan Theatre Source, Improvised and Otherwise (a festival of sound and form), and The New York Solo Play Lab.  His debut book, The Session – a novella in dialogue, was published in March of 2007 to critical acclaim.


Alex Rose - Publisher, Designer
has published stories and essays in The New York Times, Ploughshares, Fantasy Magazine, The Reading Room, McSweeney's, North American Review, The Providence Journal, The Forward, Science-Creative Quarterly, and DIAGRAM.  He has also directed a number of short films, videos and animations which have appeared on HBO, MTV, Comedy Central, ShowTime and the BBC, as well as in over two dozen festivals worldwide.  His debut short story collection, The Musical Illusionist (Oct. 07) was described by Library Journal as "a potential cult classic" and by the Village Voice as "uncanny."


David Willems - Editor
can be found walking around New York City and looking at stuff. His writing has appeared in The New York Times, Stroker, The Morning News, Really Small Talk, and The New Colonist.

 


Sarah Kirkland Snider - Music Editor
is a composer of chamber, orchestral, and solo concert music noted for its lyricism, emotional depth, and direct expression. Drawing inspiration from various outposts of the Western classical tradition, moody indie rock, and other vernacular musics the world over, Sarah's music infuses an open embrace with a subtle violence, striving to illuminate the human heart's darker places with warmth, intimacy, and candor.

 

 

Heather McCalden - Editorial Assistant
is stealing hearts in and around New York City. She also happens to dance, make videos, write creatively, and help small presses get their act together.
